Over 2,000 Attend Jigawa Free Skills Training Launching
Jigawa State witnessed an exceptional turnout as 9jaFoodFiesta officially launched its free skill empowerment program at the Manpower Development Institute on Friday, 15th November 2025. With over 2,500 participants present, the initiative aims to equip 2,000 youths and women—including 200 persons with disabilities—with vital vocational and ICT skills to enhance economic opportunities across the state.
We are a passionate non-governmental organization dedicated to empowering Nigerian youths and women through skill development initiatives in ICT, Culinary Arts, Agriculture, and other vocational fields. Our mission is to foster self-reliance, create employment opportunities, and support the socio-economic development of communities across Nigeria.
Screening of Participants

To ensure a smooth and organized training process, screening of participants began before the official launch. This early screening helped us verify interested individuals, capture accurate data, and prepare for a seamless training experience.
And while the launching was going on, our dedicated volunteers continued the screening process as more participants arrived. Their commitment ensured that every attendee—youths, women, and persons with disabilities—was properly registered and guided to the appropriate training categories.
The combined pre-launch and on-site screening efforts helped us manage the massive turnout of over 2,000 individuals, all eager to acquire new skills and join the empowerment program.
