Important Update Katsina State Empowerment Program

The Real Reason Behind the Delay of Certificates in Katsina

It’s been a month since we concluded our empowerment training in Katsina, and many of our passionate participants have been eagerly waiting for the certificate and award ceremony. We understand the anticipation, the questions, and even the concerns. After all, completing such a training is not just about learning—it’s about recognition, motivation, and the chance to move forward with confidence.

At 9jafoodfiesta, we believe empowerment is not just about teaching skills—it’s about opening doors to opportunities and giving people the confidence to build a better future. That’s why our recently concluded training program in Katsina was more than just another event.

When we first announced registration, we received an overwhelming response of over 5,000 applicants. After careful screening and selection, we successfully trained more than 2,000 participants across four major sectors: ICT, Fashion, Culinary Arts, and Agriculture. The energy, determination, and passion shown by these participants reminded us why empowerment matters.

Naturally, every participant is eager to receive their certificates and awards—a well-deserved recognition of their effort, commitment, and skills gained. However, the ceremony has been delayed—not canceled—because we are working on something bigger.

We want the Executive Governor of Katsina State himself to grace the occasion, not just to celebrate the achievements of our trainees, but also to demonstrate the government’s commitment to youth and women empowerment. Beyond certificates, we are also in discussions for possible startup support packs that can help many of these participants turn their training into sustainable businesses and livelihoods.

So while the wait may feel long, we assure every participant and supporter: this delay is for a greater purpose. When the date is finally announced, it will not only be a certificate and award ceremony, but a life-changing celebration of determination, skill, and opportunity.

To every trainee who stood the course—we see you, we celebrate you, and we can’t wait to hand you what is more than just paper: a symbol of your journey and a ticket to your next chapter.

Stay tuned — we will be sharing updates about the certification ceremony very soon.
