Katsina State Empowerment Program

Bin Jibril Showcases His First Designs Thanks to 9jafoodfiesta Training in Katsina

Every empowerment program tells a unique story, and in Katsina State, one of the brightest stories came from Bin Jimb. As a beneficiary of the ICT — Graphics Design Training under the 9jafoodfiesta Empowerment Program, he turned curiosity into creativity and is already showcasing his first-ever designs.

In his own words:

“Alhamdulillah, I was lucky to be a beneficiary of the Graphics Design Program courtesy of 9jafoodfiesta, an NGO involved in equipping youths, women, and persons with disabilities across the nation with relevant tech skills development and charity programs. We were sent into different learning paths, and I chose Graphic Design as my own path. With the help of our tutor, Aliyu Ibrahim Kabir, we were taught how to use CorelDRAW tools to create with passion, design with purpose, and bring imaginations to life.”

For Bin Jimb, this training was not just about software — it was about unlocking creativity and confidence. With no prior experience, he embraced the journey and is already showcasing his first designs, a proud step into what he believes will be a lifelong career in the creative industry.

“The design below is one of my first works, and I can’t wait to create many more. All thanks to 9jafoodfiesta for this very rare opportunity.”

His words reflect the true essence of empowerment: when young people are given access to skills and mentorship, they do not just learn — they create, they grow, and they inspire others.

This is why 9jafoodfiesta is committed to our mission of training 2,000 youths, women, and people with disabilities across each of Nigeria’s 36 states, touching over 72,000 lives nationwide.

Bin Jimb’s journey is just one of many, but it proves one thing: when skills meet opportunity, dreams begin to take shape.
