From Vision to Action: 9ja Food Fiesta’s Jigawa Empowerment Training Begins This Week
Something powerful is unfolding in Jigawa State — and it’s more than just another training programme. It’s the continuation of a promise made, a vision shared, and a movement that has already proven its impact.
In November 2025, history was made.
On Friday, 15th November 2025, 9ja Food Fiesta successfully held its official launching and accreditation programme at the Manpower Development Institute, Jigawa State. The event recorded an overwhelming turnout of over 2,500 participants, a clear signal that youths, women, and aspiring entrepreneurs across the state are ready for opportunity, skill, and transformation.
That launch was not the destination — it was the foundation.
Now, the next phase begins.
The Training Phase Is Here
This week, 9ja Food Fiesta is returning to Jigawa to turn commitment into capacity and interest into hands-on skills. The training programme officially kicks off with the arrival of the 9ja Food Fiesta team in Dutse on Tuesday, 10th February, 2026.
From that moment, the focus shifts fully to empowerment.
This training is designed to equip participants with practical, relevant skills that can open doors to employment, entrepreneurship, and sustainable income. It reflects 9ja Food Fiesta’s core mission: empowerment that is practical, inclusive, and impactful.
For those who attended the November launch, this training is the fulfilment of what was promised.
For those joining now, it is an opportunity to be part of something meaningful and life-shaping.
Why This Training Matters
Jigawa State is rich in potential. Across its communities are young people eager to learn, grow, and contribute meaningfully to society. This programme is not just about training for training’s sake — it is about:
-
Building confidence through skills
-
Creating pathways to self-reliance
-
Supporting community development
-
Turning knowledge into real-world value
The large turnout at the accreditation launch already showed how deeply this initiative resonates. The training phase is where that collective hope becomes action.
As activities begin this week, one thing is clear: 9ja Food Fiesta is not just visiting Jigawa — it is investing in Jigawa.
This training marks another important step in a journey that prioritizes people, purpose, and progress. More updates will follow as sessions commence, stories unfold, and lives begin to change.
Jigawa is ready.
The training is here.
And the journey continues.
